A total of 18 people attended this “Next Generation” meeting, which turned out to be a very lively event featuring a vibrant exchange of ideas. In addition, three representatives from the Nagoya Knit Fashion Wholesale Trade Association—including Chairman Yasuyuki Umemura—joined us, making the event a venue for cross-regional networking. Our guest speaker was Masato Nakamura, an artist and professor in the Department of Painting at Tokyo University of the Arts, who introduced the “Bakuro Curart Area Concept” being developed by Etoile Kaito Co., Ltd., as well as the “Art Base / There Are No Coincidences” building, which marks the first step in this initiative. The venue for this event, the café and craft food shop “ma.r.chack,” is a space that integrates an art gallery and a restaurant, providing a place where attendees could actually experience the vision behind the project firsthand. Additionally, we were joined by Ms. Nobuko Koenomaru, who operates the “Accessory Museum” in Meguro Ward, and she introduced us to the museum’s initiatives. The museum is a private art museum focused on costume jewelry that conveys fashion culture; it is a valuable facility where visitors can learn about the history of fashion, its historical context, and the evolution of design. In addition, there was a lively exchange of information and business-related ideas among the participants, making it a very meaningful event.
